Tall Pines Estates is located just 5 miles South of Thomaston, Georgia, in South Central Upson County, Georgia. Thomaston is the county seat of Upson County, which was established in 1824, and has a current city population of approximately 9,000. The city’s population has remained constant over the last 30 years, but there has been significant growth in the county outside of the city limits. Its proximity to Atlanta and Macon, has made this county a good choice for those wishing to enjoy the amenities of larger cities, but have the more tranquil experience of living and raising their families in the country.
