These acres have been interplanted with Desirable and Sumner varieties. Also, there are 15 acres of 2019 planted Pawnee variety trees. This is the earliest bearing, high-quality pecan variety that is grown in the Southeast, and always commands some of the best prices of the harvest season.

There is some acreage along Hwy 96 that remains unplanted since this frontage would be ideal for commercial development. There are additional wooded acres on the southwest and western boundaries that are suitable for conversion to pecan production or residential.
