Meet Michael Tragner

Michael is the principal broker at Fountains Land and has been with the company since 1989. Over his tenure, he has played an integral part in shaping the company’s commitment to serving its clients and bringing a new shopping experience to land buyers. With a forestry degree from State University of New York, School of Environmental Science and Forestry, Michael began his career at Fountains managing client forestland properties in New England - a tricky learning cure given his suburban Long Island upbringing. Seventeen years ago, he became a licensed broker and began selling forests. Now licensed in 5 states, Michael can read the landscape and trees like the back of his hand.

Michael has worked with a talented team of professionals during his presidency of the Fountains companies and is pleased that his entire staff remains at his side as they incorporate into their new ownership.

When Michael is not at work talking trees, he is at home sculpting bonsai from native species collected from New England over the last 30 years. His civic commitments include chairmanship of various committees in his local community.  Michael lives in central Vermont with his partner, Jenny.
