Buchanan North Woods is in southern Laurens County in the western piedmont of South Carolina. It is on the west side of the Saluda River between the communities of Waterloo and Ware Shoals. The tract is less than six miles to the boat ramps in the northern section of Lake Greenwood. It is less than one hour drive south of downtown Greenville.
Buchanan North Woods has excellent access with frontage on River Fork Road and TV Tower Road. The tract currently has one gated internal access road in the northern section of the tract leading from TV Tower Road into the interior of the tract. Buchanan North Woods is a mixture of gentle and hilly terrain. The site is well drained with two small drains, or valleys, leading from the interior of the tract to the west. The tract is currently supporting game species and has a history of being leased for hunting.
